Punctual
CCCOpen sourceOpen-source, edge-native Calendly alternative on Cloudflare Workers, MIT, no seat limits.
What it is
Punctual is a scheduling tool that runs entirely on Cloudflare Workers. Booking pages render at the edge (the site quotes a time-to-first-byte of around 0.14 s), it connects to Google Calendar and Microsoft 365 through your own OAuth apps, and it covers the features teams actually use: round-robin and collective event types, buffers, notice windows, daily caps, custom questions, email invites with .ics attachments, reschedule and cancel links, reminders. There is a REST API, webhooks, an embeddable widget and an MCP server so an agent can book on your behalf.
The license is MIT and the site states the open-source version is "complete for a single team, forever", with no seat limits or feature gating. A managed hosted version is described as planned. Self-hosting fits inside Cloudflare's free tier and takes about five minutes.
Where it fits in the AI OS
Work OS, the calendar layer. Scheduling is one of the first things a small company delegates to an agent ("find 30 minutes with the three of us next week"), and that only works when the scheduler has an API and an MCP server rather than a UI you have to click through.
Insider notes
membersHow Serge's stack uses it
Punctual lives at github.com/CCCrafts/punctual; CCC is Serge's company, listed under "What I run now" on bulaev.ai/about. The membership site's landing page shows it in the "Free on GitHub" section next to the social media skills bundles (66 stars and 8 forks as of 2026-09-06).
Setup in 5 minutes
- Fork or clone
CCCrafts/punctual, runnpm install. npx wrangler login, then create the D1 database and KV namespace the README lists and paste their ids intowrangler.toml.- Create a Google Cloud OAuth client (Calendar scope) and store client id and secret with
wrangler secret put. npx wrangler deploy, open the Worker URL, connect your calendar and create one event type.- Add the MCP server to Claude Code and ask it to "propose three slots for a 30-minute call on Thursday".
Alternatives
- Cal.com — the other open-source scheduler; Node/Postgres, larger footprint and a hosted plan.
- Calendly — the default SaaS; per-seat pricing.
- SavvyCal / Zcal — lighter hosted options with nice booking UX.
