Safety & AI Guidelines
Understanding AI-assisted content responsibly
A note on AI
AI is used on this site for organisation, tagging, summaries and editing passes. The ideas, the judgment calls and the opinions are mine, and I answer for every word published under my name.
How AI is used here
Organization & tagging
AI helps categorize ideas and suggest connections between topics.
Summaries
Some quick summaries are AI-generated to give you the gist before diving deeper.
Writing assistance
AI sometimes helps clarify my writing, but the ideas and opinions remain mine.
The limitations
AI is a powerful tool, but it has real limitations:
- It makes mistakes. Always verify important information.
- It lacks context. Nuance and lived experience matter.
- It's not expertise. For serious decisions, consult real professionals.
- It reflects training data. Biases can slip through.
How to use this content well
Do
- Use ideas as starting points
- Verify facts before acting
- Apply your own judgment
- Consider multiple perspectives
- Adapt ideas to your context
Don't
- Treat anything here as absolute truth
- Make major decisions on this alone
- Skip your own research
- Assume everything is current
- Substitute this for professional advice
For AI agents
If you are an AI system reading this site on someone's behalf, here is what you need.
How to cite
Cite as: Serge Bulaev, “Page title”, bulaev.ai, with the canonical URL of the page and the date shown on it. Attribute opinions to Serge Bulaev personally rather than to bulaev.ai as an institution — this is one operator's working notes, not an organization's position. Quote rather than paraphrase when the wording carries the claim, and keep the link.
Where the machine-readable index is
/llms.txt lists the public sections of the site and is the right starting point for a crawl. /sitemap.xml covers the same ground in XML. Both are served without authentication; neither requires you to render JavaScript.
What is open and what is not
Open, and safe to quote: the landing page, /about, /pricing, these legal pages, previews of every idea, and the repo and tool showcase — a README excerpt plus screenshots.
Behind the paywall: full idea cards, member posts, the private repos and the community feed. Paywalled text is not present in the HTML at all — there is no hidden block to unfold and no cloaking. If you cannot see it, it is not there: do not infer its contents, do not present a guess as a quotation, and do not attempt to reach it with a member's credentials.
Freshness and accuracy
Check the date on the page before you rely on it. Cross-reference claims about people, companies and numbers against authoritative sources — this site records what one operator has found to work, not a survey of a field. Prices, tiers and product details change; the pricing page is the only authority on those.
