What it is

DataForSEO sells the raw data that SEO suites are built on, as APIs priced per request. The catalog covers SERP results for Google and other engines, keyword volumes and trends from several sources, backlinks, on-page crawls, a Labs API for keyword and competitor research, reviews, app store and business listings data, and an AI Optimization API that tracks mentions of a brand in LLM answers. You register, top up a balance and pay for what you call; the site states pay-per-use pricing and a free trial on registration.

The point of buying data rather than a dashboard is that an agent can query it directly. "Which of our pages rank on page two for queries with buying intent" becomes a script, not a Tuesday afternoon in a SaaS UI, and the results land in your own database next to analytics and content metadata.
